Up the Eureka Tower
Fresh off the Yarra Valley tour, we went straight to Southbank and up the Eureka Tower to the Skydeck on level 88. The lift gets you up there in under a minute.
We got the timing just right. The sun was low, the whole city was golden, and you could follow the Yarra River snaking out past the parks and the sports stadiums. Then the sun dropped behind the horizon, and the lights started coming on.
Noodles and Gelato
Dinner was a big bowl of noodle soup to warm up, and dessert was gelato from Piccolina. Yes, it was cold out. No, that has never stopped us.
Early night again, because tomorrow was a public holiday: ANZAC Day.
Information About the Melbourne Skydeck
The viewing deck is on level 88 of the Eureka Tower, with glass all the way round and a small caged terrace outside, so you can feel the wind up there.
