The last dinner
Our last night ended with a long, late dinner with Yosa, one of my Indonesian colleagues. He drove all the way up to our resort to meet us, and it was a great catch-up, with a lot of laughing. Glad we finally got to meet in person after all this time.

The last morning
One more walk through the gardens before checkout, past the resort map, the bridge and the dancing statue. Then a Grab to the airport for the 1pm flight, and we were back in Singapore before 4pm.

Goodbye Bali
Four days, all of them from one base in Ubud. A 3am jeep up a volcano for the sunrise, the black lava field and two coffee plantations. The monkeys of the Monkey Forest, a flying red dress over the Tegallalang terraces, the holy spring at Tirta Empul and the stairs at Tegenungan. Babi guling, BBQ ribs and a blue-rice platter, then a flower bath to finish. Short, sweet and very green.
We came for the rice terraces and left needing another holiday to recover from the 3am.
