Under the Skytree
After the studio tour we went east to Sumida and just walked. Quiet back streets, small houses, blue sky.

We passed a little neighbourhood shrine and popped in.

And then the Skytree, poking up over everything. We didn’t go up, just snapped a photo.

We grabbed a strawberry cake to go from the shops at the bottom (¥378).

Ginza
Back in Ginza we went watch shopping. Mostly trying on, with white-gloved staff bringing out one tray after another.

Ginza at dusk: the 4-chome crossing and the Wako clock tower.

Hashigo Ginza 4-chome
Dinner was at Hashigo, a small ramen counter in Ginza known for its tantanmen. Spicy, nutty, and the perfect thing for a cold night. ¥2,100 for the two of us.

Early night, because tomorrow started at 4:30am. Onward to the tuna auction!
