Sumida Aquarium
After Baby Garden, the main event: Sumida Aquarium, inside the Skytree building. It’s small but damn pretty: planted tanks that look like tiny landscapes, and a whole room of jellyfish under blue light.

BB Bagel pressed his face and hands on every glass he could reach. The garden eels hid. Can’t blame them.

Sumida’s penguins live in a big open pool with a glass wall you can walk along. I held Bagel up to it and he waited for every penguin to swim past.

At the end, a room of Edo goldfish under red lanterns, and a disco corridor with lights on the floor.

Saizeriya for dinner
In the cab home, Bagel had a shrimp toy and a lot of opinions. Dinner was Saizeriya near the hotel: hamburg steak on sizzling plates with corn and an egg. Cheap, good, zero regrets.

Postcard from Tokyo Solamachi, Skytree Town
An indoor aquarium on the 5th and 6th floors of Tokyo Solamachi, right under Skytree. Small enough for a baby's attention span, with penguins, jellyfish and a room of Edo goldfish.
