Hotplate Barbecue Mokumokutei in Niseko
We had cravings for barbecue food tonight, and one of the recommendations at Negula was the nearby Mokumokutei. As usual, the helpful staff made a reservation for us before we even went skiing in the afternoon. However the only available timeslot for us was at 5:00 p.m. so we’re gonna have an early meal today.
Right after our ski session, we drove over to the place, which was just a short distance away. We were lazy to go back to hotel to change, so we went there in our ski attire. In fact, it’s pretty common for guests to be in ski attire, after all we’re in Niseko. Thus they provided slippers to enter the restaurant, for us who needed to get out of our ski boots. There were also racks for us to hang our ski jackets so won’t be so clumsy while eating.
Buffet Dinner With Wide Variety of Food Selection
We were literally their first customers. At first we thought they were still not operating yet because we reached slightly before 5. It’s a spacious dining area, clean and comfortable. As with most buffet choices, you’ve got the vegetables section, the seafood area, fried finger food, carbs like rice and noodles and many more. Most importantly, the meat section was damn awesome. We basically gorged ourselves with pork bellies, lamb slices and wagyu beef. Gotta make our money worth ya, kiasu as usual.
Soft drinks were free flow too, as with their dessert sections. Honestly we were too full to get their desserts. We kinda stink after dinner. But well, we’re going to return the ski clothes tonight anyway. It was an enjoyable and satisfying dinner, a reward for the calories we’ve burnt over the last few sessions of skiing. In fact this meal alone wiped everything out. Well, it was our last night in the mountains, tomorrow we’ll be heading to Otaru!
