Minmin’s pick, and the cutest hour of the trip.

How It Works
A few steps from Kamakura Station, there’s a micro pig café: Kamakura Pig Park. You read the rules (no picking them up, no food, stay seated), take off your shoes, sit on the floor with a blanket on your lap, and the staff let the pigs out. They come to you.
And they do. They wander over, climb onto the blanket, dig around a bit, and then just fall asleep on you. Warm, heavy and snoring.

Bigger Than Expected
“Micro” is a bit generous. Some of them were more like small dogs, and the bigger ones walked around the room like they owned it.

An hour goes very fast. We had to be peeled off the floor.
Next door is the start of Komachi-dori, so we walked straight on to Komachi-dori and Tsurugaoka Hachimangu.
