Matcha crepe

From Ginkaku-ji, back down into town for a matcha crepe (¥990).

The arcades

Then the covered arcades of Shinkyogoku and Teramachi. Chopsticks (¥770), a tenugui (¥2,640), an amulet and souvenirs.

We even bought a lottery ticket (¥1,000). We did not win.

Restaurant Star

An early dinner at Restaurant Star, an old-school yoshoku place: omurice with demi-glace, soup and a gratin. ¥3,531.

The dog café

And then the highlight of Minmin’s day: a dog café (¥2,000 for two). Poodles, Pomeranians, and one very sleepy toy poodle who decided Minmin’s lap was his.

The sleepy one:

Koe Donuts

Last stop, Koe Donuts, with donuts lined up under a ceiling of baskets. ¥1,281, eaten back at Kamuroan.

Onward to the Nintendo Museum!
