The columns and steps of Parliament House in Melbourne

Our Last Afternoon in Melbourne, and Flying Home

Back in the City

After the alpacas, we drove back into Melbourne, checked into our hotel for the last night, and returned the car. Five days, from the Great Ocean Road to Ballarat and back.

Parliament House

We spent the last afternoon just walking around the city. Our last stop was Parliament House at the top of Bourke Street, with its giant columns and wide steps, and the old red brick buildings around the corner.

Flying Home

The next morning, we flew home to Singapore. The flight was mostly about food: jerky, nuts and juice, then lunch, then dessert.

And that’s our Melbourne trip: autumn leaves in the city, wineries in the Yarra Valley, a balloon at sunrise, two days down the Great Ocean Road, the gold rush in Ballarat, and a farm full of alpacas. Ten days, and we packed in a lot. Thanks for coming along! The whole trip, day by day, is on our Melbourne trip page.
