Lunch at Ibu Oka
The Udaya runs a free shuttle into Ubud centre, so we took it into town for lunch.

Lunch was babi guling at Warung Ibu Oka, Ubud’s most famous suckling pig. You get slices of roast pork, crackling, blood sausage, lawar and sambal over rice, with a bowl of soup on the side.

Ubud Water Palace
Next door is Ubud Water Palace, also called Pura Taman Saraswati (Rp 100,000 for the two of us): a temple with a long walkway through a lotus pond.

The walkway leads straight to the temple gate. Someone had set up two golden thrones in front of it as a photo spot, so obviously we sat in them.

Bali Pulina
Our second coffee plantation of the trip: Bali Pulina, a Grab ride back up north near Tegallalang.

They walk you through the whole process: the beans, the drying, then roasting by hand over a fire. The civets are the luwak in kopi luwak, and seeing them in cages is the part we felt less good about.

Then the tasting, at a café looking over the rice terraces. A tray of coffees and teas comes free.

A short walk around the grounds before we left.
