Granny Smith apple pie
Back in Ginza, a late afternoon pie break at Granny Smith Apple Pie & Coffee in Tokyu Plaza Ginza. Two slices with ice cream and coffee: ¥2,340.

The Seiko Museum
Then the Seiko Museum Ginza, which is free. Each floor is a different “time”: the beginning of time with sundials and water clocks, precise time, a variety of times, and extreme times in the basement.

Old European clocks, ship chronometers in wooden boxes, Seiko’s first wristwatches.

And the big one: a giant Seiko clock face you stand in front of for the photo.

Ginza at dusk
Out again into Ginza as the lights came on.

Rilakkuma was already back at the hotel, waiting.

Ginza Imakatsu
Dinner was katsu at Ginza Imakatsu, known for its chicken katsu that’s still juicy inside. Two sets with rice and soup for ¥4,000.

And on the walk back, the Kabukiza all lit up.

Early night again. Tomorrow: the Shinkansen to Snow Country!
