Shoes off
teamLab Planets is a short walk from Toyosu Market, so it was the obvious next stop. There was already a queue at 9am.

The whole place is done barefoot. You leave your shoes in a locker and walk in through a dark corridor with water flowing down a slope.

The crystal room
The first big room is a forest of hanging LED strings over a mirrored floor. They change colour constantly, and it goes on forever in every direction.

Basically a photo studio. We took a lot.

The koi pond
Then you roll up your trousers and wade into a pool of milky water, knee deep, with koi projected swimming around your legs. When they bump into you, they burst into flowers.

Coloured light
Next, a room of light and colour that keeps changing. Pink, green, blue, purple.

And a dome where flowers bloom and fall all over the walls.

The gardens
Outside, the moss garden: mirrored egg shapes sitting in the moss.

Then the floating flower garden, thousands of orchids hanging down from the ceiling and rising and falling as you walk through.

Rilakkuma loved it.

About an hour and a half inside, and worth every minute. Onward to Small Worlds!
